Add media
Bring images and video onto your board as nodes by uploading, pasting, or importing from your library.
You can bring your own images and video onto the board in three ways. Each one becomes a media node. Once it is on the board, you can wire it into a prompt as a reference.
Upload from your device
- Click Upload in the dock, or choose Upload from device in the Add node menu.
- Pick an image or video file.
- The node lands on the board and finishes preparing in a moment.
Videos keep a poster frame and their duration so they read clearly on the board.
Paste from anywhere
Copy an image or video from another site or app, then paste it onto the board with your usual paste shortcut. A new node drops in at the center of your view and uploads on its own.
Supported files
Canvas accepts image and video files. Other file types are skipped with a short message.
Import from your library
Click Import in the dock to open your library and choose media you have used or generated before. This is the fastest way to reuse an asset across projects.
Adding a person
To feature a person, use the Character library rather than uploading a photo. Uploaded photos of real people cannot be used as references.
