Character library

Add a preset person to your scene and keep the same face across every shot.

The Character library is a large collection of preset people, ready to star in your images and video. Picking one drops a node with that person onto the board, which you can then wire into any generation node as a reference.

Add a character

  1. Click Character in the dock.
  2. Browse the library, or narrow it with the filters on the left.
  3. Click a person to drop them onto the board.

Filter the library

Use the filter rail to combine any of these:

  • Gender
  • Age
  • Nationality
  • Profession

You can pick more than one value in a group. Within a group the values combine as any of these, and across groups they combine as all of these. For example, picking China and Japan under Nationality, plus Female under Gender, shows women from China or Japan. Use the search box in the rail to find a filter quickly, and Clear all to reset.

Why you cannot upload real people

Photos and clips of real people, including yourself, cannot be used as reference characters. Generations that include an uploaded real person will fail. The Character library is the compliant way to feature a person, and it gives you thousands of faces to choose from.

Keep the same person across shots

Wire a character into several prompts to keep one face consistent through a whole set of images or a full video.
